The Total Show

MArteLive is a renowned festival-competition born in Italy in 2001. Its “Total Show” format involves the overlap and succession of several live performances of 16 artistic disciplines: music, theater, dance and contemporary circus, exhibitions of painting and photography, artistic crafts, graphic art, live painting and street-art, projections, installations, reading and video-art to create a single performance, almost simultaneously, in a single location. Today MArteLive has a strong identity as an incubator of youth creativity and a leader in generating multidisciplinary shows formats.

MArteLive Europe

After 20 years of activity, the MArteLive contest goes international and replicates its format all over Europe, thanks to the support of the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, in cooperation with partners Artnova (Poland), Kintai Arts (Lithuania), Tuzla Live (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

The contest selections are held in 47 countries (27 EU and 20 non-EU), offering visibility and opportunities for many young emerging artists coming from the areas involved.

The competition includes: ‘Live streaming auditions’, ‘Semi-final shows’ and ‘Artistic residencies’ in Poland, Lithuania, Bosnia and Italy and ‘Final show’ that will be held in Rome in October 2022, during the prestigious MArteLive Biennial.
